Seven Suites Facade

One Stellar Night Art exhibit and film showing mark Seven Suites Hotel Observatory’s 10th year

April 20, 2008

To mark a decade as the only hotel-cum-observatory in the country, Seven Suites Hotel in Sumulong Highway, Antipolo is welcoming the momentous event with “One Stellar Night” on April 26 from 5 p.m. onwards – establishing the hotel not only as a venue to gaze the stars but also a destination to appreciate works of art and the motion picture. It also continues to establish itself as a gastronomic destination with the launch of the Garden Bistro to attract urbanites, locals, students, and even gourmands who are in search for an idyllic hilltop ambience to appreciate food and wine.

“Seven Suites Hotel Observatory will be welcoming its 10th year with various activities that will encourage not only relaxation among urbanites, but also to enhance their appreciation for the arts,” said Bea Totanes, the hotel's Marketing Officer.  As part of the “One Stellar Night”, Seven Suites will launch the Blue Moon Gallery with “Cravings” art exhibit, the Garden Bistro restaurant and the Blue Moon Feature which will present the acclaimed Indie film "Rekados.”

The initial offering of the Blue Moon Gallery, Cravings is a four-man exhibit that will showcase the works of Andy Orencio, Victor Santos, William Antonio and JCrisanto Martinez. Cravings resonates the artists’ intrinsic yearning to generate on canvas an extension of himself; a reflection of his personal internal and external world; creating a distilled visual when an artist bares his soul. The exhibit opens also on April 26 and will run until May 17.

On the other hand, a work of art in a plate is what will be presented by Chef Eugene Dulig during the launch of the Garden Bistro. He will prepare Garden Bistro’s specialty, Shrimp Remoulade with Dauphinois – fresh shrimps poached in home-made court bouillon, served with grilled vegetables and potato dauphinois with spicy sweet dip.

Chef Eugene Dulig, a graduate of the prestigious CCA, Manila, has served his sumptuous creations at a Caribbean and Alaskan Cruise.. There will be free appetizers served during the event.  And for every P550 purchase during the launch, guests can get a free dessert during their next visit.

To cap a feast for the senses is the Blue Moon Feature highlighted by “Rekados”. Directed by promising director, Paolo Herras, the movie has already been part of various international film festivals. The story revolves around three generations of cooks who put special ingredients in their everyday dishes to get the men they desire. Memorable performances from Boots Anson-Roa, Eula Valdez, Ana Capri and Meryll Soriano will surely delight the viewers.  While on May 3 at 6:30 p.m., the Blue Moon Feature will present a one-act romantic comedy play entitled “All I Want” which will be spearheaded by Roofdeck Productions.

Everyone is invited to take part on this “One Stellar Night” – whether you find fun in art, food, or film. Seven Suites Hotel Observatory is located at Hollywood Hills Subdivision, Sumulong Highway, Antipolo City (across Valley Golf Country Club). It is just 30 minutes away from Cubao or Ortigas and 15 minutes from the Marcos Highway in Pasig. For reservations and inquiries, call 682-2076 / 490-6407 or visit www.sevensuites.net.
